I was listening to a seminar this past week called “Habits of Happiness”. The speaker was Matthieu Ricard, a French monk, who is sometimes called “the happiest man in the world”. Why is he so happy?
He speaks of serenity, well-being, meditation and the quality of your life experience. Ultimately, happiness is all about how you perceive your world.
Vic and I don’t have a yacht; we have a canoe. It’s a flat bottom canoe with a small trolling motor. That canoe has brought us some of the best times in our lives going bass, speck and blue gill fishing up at Lake Okeechobee. We used to go night fishing there with only lanterns, flashlights and the stars. I can remember many days eating sunflower seeds and listening to the fish splashing in the water as the sun came up. We would sit in that canoe for hours sharing our thoughts, sharing the quiet morning sun and enjoying our life in that little boat.
Simple times and life’s small pleasures.
Take time to nurture your happiness!
Wishing you a little corner of happiness in your busy world!
